How the system works

The structural model becomes a manufacturing plan. Members are formed accurately, identified for assembly and coordinated with openings, services and the building envelope before work reaches site.
Unlike a sequence dominated by wet trades, frame manufacture can proceed while foundations and other site preparation are underway. The real programme still depends on approvals, foundation accuracy, logistics, installation capacity and the specific design.
The completed wall or roof is layered: steel frame, bracing, moisture control, insulation, external cladding, service routes and internal lining. Performance belongs to that complete assembly.
Coordination
Openings, pre-punched service routes, cladding support and roof interfaces can be resolved before the walls close.
Adaptability
Homes, multi-storey concepts, roofs, commercial spaces, warehouses, solar frames and custom structures can use the same design logic.

Thermal design
The assembly matters more than the label.
Thermal performance is calculated for the complete assembly. Insulation type and thickness, steel bridging, sheathing, cavities, linings, openings, climate zone and workmanship all affect the result, so the final build-up must be confirmed for each project.

ORALS designs and manufactures light steel structural systems for homes, roofs, commercial buildings, warehouses, sheds, solar structures and custom projects. We also supply roof coverings, flashings, insulation, cladding, ceilings, aluminium openings and SPC flooring.
ORALS quotations cover structural systems, materials and delivery. Independent contractors quote and perform construction and installation, and we can refer suitable building contractors on request. Structural designs are reviewed by an engineer where required, with supply and delivery available throughout South Africa.
